We have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious and experienced Wine Buyer to join our Buying Team accountable for the selection and sourcing of Wine. Negotiating with Suppliers to build a portfolio of Wines from a specific region, ensuring alignment with the overall Group Wine Buying Strategy.
Using your versatile negotiation skills and ability to build effective customer and supplier relationships, you will be responsible for the effective management of your wine category ensuring effective range management and innovation which reflects market and consumer trends. You will work with the wider commercial team to forward plan promotional strategies, ensure they are implemented effectively across our store estate and analyse sales data to determine their success.
As the ideal candidate you will have experience in operating in a wine buying role in a retail and FMCG environment, with a good track record of success in achieving targets in a fast moving, result driven culture. You will have a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics with demonstrable negotiation, communication and influencing skills.
In return, you will receive a salary of circa £40,000; car allowance provisions, Company bonus of up to 10%, inclusion in the Company's Share Incentive Plan, Healthcare and Pension contributions.
