German Retail Banking Customer Service Officer
£35,000-£41000 per annum + benefits
Global retail banking.
This is a customer facing role - focused on dealing with client queries face to face, but also via telephone and e-mail and then liaising with head office to help provide the service.
The role also requires promotion of the banks' services through regular networking events in the local non-resident community.
Role and responsibilities:
•Working as a member of a small German speaking team
•Setting up new accounts with retail clients
•Ensuring all related financial documents are understood and in place
•Managing and updating data in the banking inhouse systems using specific templates and procedures
•Regular translation work from German to English and vice versa
•Attending relevant events to promote the bank's services
•Liaising with the Head Office in Germany regarding client assistance and liaison
•Customer contact / sales experience
•Good knowledge of Germany and the UK
•Knowledge of the German retail Banking market
•Marketing background and web based marketing skills required for website maintenance
•Fluent spoken & written German and English (will be tested)
•Knowledge and experience of translating working documents (preferred)
